Dr. Cade Mathis learned early that he was not the son of the man who raised him. His adoptive father, a cruel, bitter man, had always been quick to tell him that he was a bastard and an embarrassment to the rich society family whose daughter got pregnant with him. Now a successful doctor and one of the best neurosurgeons in the state, the only thing he still wants are answers about where he came from. What he doesn’t expect to find is Sabrina Thomas, the new patient advocate at his hospital, or how this woman will lead him to the family he has been searching for and a love he never expected to find.

Area Bird-Duty Doesn’t Always Follow the Rules by Susan I. Spieth
Change is coming to West Point!
One drives off a cliff. An alarming number of others resign. Something at the military academy is causing the unusually high attrition of women cadets. Jan Wishart aims to find out before she’s the next statistic at West Point. Her second year at the formerly all male citadel should be the fun year. But when one friend shows signs of abuse and another friend suddenly resigns, Jan’s coming of age year becomes anything but enjoyable. The culture of hazing and harassment must be addressed, but it’s almost impossible to get results through the chain of command. In a closed academy environment, sometimes the best way to call attention to an issue is to leak it the press.
In order to fulfill her duty, Jan must break with tradition and the longstanding culture of the United States Military Academy. Yet not everything is as it seems. Once again Jan’s worldview is about to be upended by the secrets of West Point.

Gray Girl-Honor Isn’t Always Black and White by Susan I. Spieth
Ten men for every one woman. Those odds are stacked against Jan Wishart as a freshman at West Point. The first year at the military academy is harsh, with exhausting physical and mental demands which beat everyone down. But the women cadets also endure body shaming, sexual harassment and contempt from those who want to see them fail. Charged with an honor violation, Jan must defend herself before an all-male cadet jury. She’s convinced that her accuser is likely the predator who violated a friend. The battle for justice will rage, not only for Jan, but for the victims of the predatory cadet. And one night will change everything–for better or worse.
The grayness of West Point is not only in its buildings and uniforms. Even honor isn’t always black and white. Relying on her wits and a few friends in the hostile environment of the U.S. Military Academy, Jan discovers the value of friendship, the genuine marks of leadership and her own inner warrior.

The Gray Girl Series depicts authentic experiences of the early years when the United States Military Academy first admitted women cadets. Jan Wishart is both heroine and troublemaker. She and her friends sometimes create their own dilemmas but mostly solve the larger issues they face while at West Point in the early 1980’s. Gray Girl: Honor Isn’t Always Black and White is the first book in the Gray Girl Series. Area Bird: Duty Doesn’t Always Follow the Rule is book 2. Book 3 is Witch Heart: Leadership Always Requires Sacrifice. All three can be read alone, but best read in order.

Paranormal Nonsense
Tempest Michaels is the only paranormal investigator in the book.
There’s just one problem – he is convinced the paranormal doesn’t exist.
Tempest Michaels spends his days solving daft crimes that his clients have determined are paranormal in nature. They never are, of course, so he spends a lot of time pointing out that Great Aunt Agnes isn’t a witch, she is just ugly, or you don’t have spirits waking you each night, you just suffer from terrible flatulence.
The daftness is interrupted though when a serial killer dubbed “The Vampire” starts biting throats in his town. Despite being the only paranormal investigator in the book, he could have ignored the case, but a chance encounter with the alluring Officer Amanda Harper and his lonely heart demands he give his help when she asks for it.
Soon hip-deep in vampire wannabes that intend to kill him, aided by friends who are not that helpful, advised by a clearly deluded occult bookshop owner and encumbered by his mother’s attempts to marry him off because she wants grandchildren, Tempest Michaels has his work cut out if he wants to solve this case.
His mother wants him to marry – like literally anyone and produce grandchildren right now.
His Dachshunds want their dinner and maybe a treat under threat of pooping in his shoes.
And mostly he just wants to be left alone to meet a nice lady that he can have a relationship with.
Paranormal Nonsense is a funny, cozy mystery full of action and suspense and is the first in a long series of adventures for Tempest Michaels and his dysfunctional group of friends.

What a mess. This was not supposed to happen.
This isn’t where Nick Owen thought he would be by this point in life. He used to be a busy web programmer. Now he spends most of his energy trying to stop his three-year-old twins from playing in a dirty sand pit. Nick thinks of himself as Daddy 3.0, a stay-at-home-dad—but he just wasn’t programmed for this.
He must navigate a new world of jungle gyms and playdates while supporting his surgeon wife. He tries his best to be there for the twins, but he can’t stop making a mess of things. He’s just about nearing the end of his rope when the Swing Incident happens. The Swing Incident, spoken of in hushed tones around Nick’s New York City apartment building, has caused the resident queen bee, nicknamed “Supermom,” to declare him an enemy for life. No matter what Nick does to get back into Supermom’s good graces, he fails spectacularly.
Now Nick’s going to have to learn to fight fire with fire and become the best superparent on the block. This hilarious new book by Rob Armstrong chronicles one man’s journey into the world of modern fatherhood—one botched haircut, playground fight, and dirty diaper at a time.
Stay-at-home-dads have a new hero, of sorts.
Kirkus Review – “An appealing comedy delivers many laugh-out-loud moments for the reader who has dealt with a fractious toddler or attempted to cope as an outsider in any type of clique.”
Red City Review (4 Stars) – “Kudos goes to Armstrong for producing a highly entertaining coming-of-age as well as human-interest tale.”

Harry by Glen R Stansfield
About Harry by Glen R Stansfield
For twenty-five years Harry has hidden a dark secret. He likes to kill.
Trained by the military, Harry discovered his desires in the streets of occupied Kuwait but buried them deep within his soul on his return to Britain. Until now.
The death of a former soldier releases the forces Harry suppressed all those years ago and he embarks on a crusade to free the streets of London from petty criminals.
They trained him to kill, and now they can’t stop him.
The body of a homeless man is discovered under a railway bridge of Limehouse Cut canal in the Tower Hamlets district of London. This is the latest in a series of attacks on the homeless, but the first to result in the death of the victim. Attending the scene is Senior Investigating Officer DCI Helene MacKay.
Over a period of five months, five more bodies are found, all killed in a different manner, but unlike the first, each has a ligature mark around the neck and characters carved into their skin. A member of Mackay’s team recognises the numbers as Bible passages, and it becomes apparent the killer is using the quotations to signify a reason the victim’s death. DNA analysis identifies one of the victims as being a serial rapist sought by the team.
All five victims have something in common; currently engaged in criminal activity or promoting hatred of others. The ligature marks and bible passages suggest one person is responsible; a serial killer. MacKay’s job is to catch that killer but a part of her hopes she will fail.

Remnant by Rob Scott
Indians once ruled over all of North America, then Europeans came and weakened them with disease, stole their land and herded them to Oklahoma as the Europeans expanded westward under the theory of Manifest Destiny, a nationalism movement in the 1830’s. Throughout this time period, the Democratic Party ruled developing a set of ideas that formed the foundation of the modern party. Then again in the 1940s through 1960s the nationalism movement became popular again under ruling by the Democratic Party and Indians were again run off their sovereign land, disbursed across America and left seemingly with nothing.
