Author Bio:
Okay, I admit it: I am a little obsessed with the criminal psyche…
I’ve been reading both true crime and murder mystery thrillers for decades, since I was a teenager, so it seems only natural that I would create my own psychopathic characters, tormented protagonists and devilish scenarios!
I particularly enjoy a thrill ride, a proper roller-coaster of a novel, so try to reflect that in my writing. I prefer books with complex characters and intricate plots, so I write lengthy novels (by current ebook standards) for readers who like something to get their teeth into.
I also like to tackle difficult subjects and, as a result, my novels have been described as ‘not for the faint-hearted’. They also contain low life characters so their dialogue includes profanity, and there’s imagery some readers have found disturbing too, so be warned!
Creating fictional characters and setting them running through scenes conjured from your own imagination is exciting too – especially when they choose to do stuff you don’t expect or even want them to do.
My characters seem to come to life as I write – so much so that I was genuinely upset when I had to kill off one of my ‘imaginary friends’! I know – it sounds pathetic, but then again Tom Cruise makes millions pretending he’s someone he’s not…
