“Poetry, I believe, is about candid questions and conversations for and of the poet’s time. This is what runs through Success’s poetry. They are candid even through love, doubt, pain and desire even when such is unwelcome and considered rude. They are candid, powerfully and unapologetically. I like. I like!” (Nnanna Ikpo, author of Fimi sile Forever)

The Edge of Darkness by James Goldsworthy
In 2004 I was told that my eye sight was failing and that I would become completely blind within five years. My sight actually only took twenty one months to fail. During that period I started writing as a way of dealing with my situation. Not only did I find that writing helped me get through it, I also began enjoying writing individual poems and short stories. This book brings together all of the poems written during that period, covering my journey through sight loss, my feelings during the experience and coming out the other side. The book also includes a second collection containing several stand alone pieces which were inspired by life experiences, historical events, my love of fantasy or simply for the enjoyment of writing. The Edge of Darkness is available in both Kindle and audio book formats. The audio book version is read by the immensely talented Jonathan Keeble.
